SEMCA, under the leadership of its Workforce Development Board (WDB) and the Southeast Governmental Alliance (SEGA), is the public workforce system for Monroe and out-Wayne Counties. The 2020-24 Local Plan lays out the broad talent needs for the future and helps us make decisions about how we use our system and resources to meet those needs. The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires each WDB to develop and submit, in partnership with the local Chief Elected Official (CEO), a comprehensive four-year plan to the State of Michigan. In the case of SEMCA, the Southeast SEGA) is the CEO.

A 30-day period of public comment is required. The Mid-Cycle Local Plan is available for viewing here. SEMCA welcomes comments, which should be emailed to wfd@semca.org or mailed to 25363 Eureka Road, Taylor, MI, 48180, Attn: Colleen Mallory.

Comments are due by August 7, 2022.
