Katherine Brady-Medley Named SEMCA Chief Operating Officer


Southeast Michigan Community Alliance (SEMCA) is pleased to welcome and introduce Katherine Brady-Medley as its new Chief Operating Officer. Kate brings more than 15 years of non-profit executive leadership experience to SEMCA and will be responsible for leading SEMCA’s Program development and administration. Most recently, Kate directed Starfish Family Services Head Start and Early Head Start programs serving more than 1,000 children and their families while successfully managing the program’s $16 million federal budget.

“Kate will be an excellent addition to SEMCA’s senior management team. The breadth and depth of her experience will assure SEMCA continues on a path of innovation and highly competent program administration,” said SEMCA’s Chief Executive Officer Gregory E. Pitoniak.

Kate’s unique background in law, public policy and community-based leadership are only overshadowed by her commitment to SEMCA’s mission to create an inclusive, lifelong talent and career development system for Southeast Michigan. This commitment is critical to the overall health and vibrancy of our communities and life-sustaining to individuals looking to engage in the workforce.
