Wayne County College Access Network to Host Virtual College and Career Fair

Wayne County College Access Network (WCCAN) will host a free online college, career and financial aid fair on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, from noon to 3 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to meet one-to-one with representatives from more than 30 colleges and vocational training schools, and qualify for scholarships and prizes. Information about grants, loans, FAFSA, and scholarships will also be available.

Schools that participate will be entered into a drawing for one of three $1,000 scholarships, based on student registration and attendance. Students will also be eligible for two more –  a $1,000 scholarship and a free trip to their “dream college,” with all airfare and hotel expenses paid for the student and parent.

Whether students are preparing for college or trade, WCCAN’s Virtual College and Career Fair will help prepare them for their future. Registered students will see how their preferences match up with the presenting local and international schools , based on their preference survey before the event. Each college or trade school will have a that allows students to gain an individual tour, view programs, and chat with an admission counselor.

How does it work?

All information and recordings from the sessions will be saved in the student’s Virtual Back Pak, for up to one year after the event. This event will provide students with an opportunity to explore many exciting possibilities for their future while getting the information that they need to make their decisions with school support.
