Mohamed Jomaa was laid off from his job working for a collision shop as an Auto Sales and Body Repair person in August 2016, where he had been earning $13.75 per hour. Mohamed needed to support his family, so he came to the Michigan Works! Dearborn Service Center. They advised him to attend an orientation for the WIOA program. At that orientation, Mohamed met with his case manager, Mariam Chamesseddine, and was enrolled in the WIOA program.

Mohamed states that Chamesseddine “Was supportive, cooperative and caring.” She started with providing job leads to him and offered different classroom training. Mohamed requested more information about the CDL-A Training. Chamesseddine assisted Mohamed until he earned his commercial drivers’ license and was hired at Red Cap Transport making $24.50 per hour.
