SEMCA American Jobs Centers Open to Public by Appointment Only Starting January 31.

Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 infections in Wayne and Monroe Counties, SEMCA Michigan Works! American Job Centers will be open to the public by APPOINTMENT ONLY beginning Monday, January 31, to protect customers and employees by limiting person-to-person contact. In-person events and individual appointments will continue. All guests are required to wear face coverings and abide by social distancing guidelines.

“We remain fully committed to serving our fellow residents and have ensured that if you desire to meet in-person with the SEMCA team, you can schedule a visit at one of our Job Centers with the confidence that the necessary safety measures are in place,“ says Gregory Pitoniak SEMCA CEO. 

SEMCA will continue to provide job seekers with the support, training, and services they need to get back to work. View more than 50+ online and in-person training workshops.

Virtual and in-person appointments can be scheduled by calling your local SEMCA American Job Center

Schedule Work Registration Appointment By Phone Or Online

Unemployed workers filing a new claim for benefits can fulfill their work registration requirement by calling their local American Job Center to schedule an appointment.

Monroe County residents can email info@mcetd.us while Wayne County (excluding the City of Detroit) residents can schedule their appointment online

SEMCA Michigan Works! American Job Centers will be operating during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
