During Careers in Energy Week | October 18–22, 2021, Michigan’s energy companies and educators team up to create awareness for students and job-seekers around the rewarding careers in the energy sector.
Members of the Michigan Energy Workforce Development Consortium (MEWDC) and the national Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD) are proud to participate in Careers in Energy Week 2021.
MI Energy Careers Contest 2021
The two contests promote Careers in Energy Week, and are open to all Michigan high school students in grades 9-12.
Students will use the GooseChase app to complete various missions related to the energy industry.
Daily trivia questions will be posted to this site and students must collect all of their answers to submit for a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card, a drone with a camera and $250 for their attending school/organization.

MI Energy Career Exploration Fair
The MI Energy Career Exploration Fair is a virtual career exploration and resource fair where participants will learn about the breadth of industry employment, benefits of energy careers, and career pathways. The event will inform and expose high school students, educators, parents, and adult job seekers about energy careers and the multiple avenues and steps they can take to move into a career in energy.

MI Energy Careers Job Fair 2021
The MI Energy Careers Job Fair is a chance to meet virtually with energy employers from around the state! If you are actively looking for a job or an internship, don’t forget to get your resumé into the hands of recruiters by uploading it when you register. Stroll the virtual booths and learn more about companies in your area and job openings that are available now or talk with representatives about their calendar for hiring.

EnergyCareers 2021 – CEWD National Conference & Career Fair
On a national level, EnergyCareers 2021 will kick off with a high-energy general session, with noted presenters, before attendees move to panel-hosted breakout sessions that will take a deeper dive into opportunities for minorities, women, veterans, career changers, and students. Sessions will be guided by industry leaders through varied virtual experiences, including a general session, breakout sessions, networking lounges, forums, and exhibits.
