Out of an abundance of caution, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the SEMCA 25th Anniversary Celebration event, planned for August 26, 2021. With the dramatic, continued increase of COVID rates and the increased transmissibility of the Delta Variant, though we planned to take every precaution to keep folks safe, we are concerned about bringing many persons whom we care deeply about into an enclosed room for 2-3 hours. We felt this decision was the most responsible (though not fun) choice to make.

We will be exploring options for holding a celebration of SEMCA’s 25th Anniversary at a later date. Rest assured you will receive an invitation to such a future event. Commissioner Al Haidous, SEGA Board Chairperson, and Charlie Mahoney, SEMCA Workforce Development Board Chairperson, wanted me to express our sincere appreciation to you for wanting to share and support this historic milestone with SEMCA’s board members and staff.

To your good health.
